Intergenerational Ministry (24 - 27 January 2022)

This module introduces a number of tools that workers might use to develop volunteers, young leaders and new members of staff.

Picking principles from pastoral care, mentoring, coaching and supervision, it invites students to reflect on each model before picking one key theme to develop and apply to their own context in youth work, chaplaincy or community leadership.

This model is named at Universities as:

CYMI60854 Supporting Work-based Learning
CYM709 Pastoral Support, Mentoring and Supervision

This module is designed as an introduction to the historical and contemporary context of chaplaincy including multifaith provision.  Chaplaincy will be explored from a range of contexts with a particular focus on work with children, young people and young adults and the skills relating to such work.  Students will explore theological perspectives on chaplaincy as well as evaluate a range of models.
