    • A note for Line Managers and Practice Tutors: Differentiating Practice Expectations at L4-6

      At Level 4:            To work alongside existing work with young people in community settings

                                      This acts as a foundation year involving 360 hours of practice-based experience

                                      (Students meeting pre-qualifying criteria will progress to the CYW pathway)

      At Level 5*:          To take responsibility for a Youth Work activity/project in a community setting

                                      This acts as an intermediate year involving 360 hours of practice-based experience

                                      Students are also required to complete 160 hours in alternative placement(s) during levels 5 and 6. This will be agreed through a proposal submitted in Level 5 M1.

      At Level 6*:          To take a supervisory and co-ordinating role in community-based Youth Work

                                      This acts as the qualifying year involving 360 hours of practice-based experience
